Pharmacy Assistant Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

Independent Dispensary/Compounding Pharmacy with a focus on individualized patient care has an opening shortly for a full-time (40 hours per week) Pharmacy Assistant . Candidates must have excellent work-ethic, communication skills, telephone etiquette, customer service, basic math skills, and an ability to multi-task. Candidate must also be quite familiar and skilled with computers and technology ex. Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, Power Point, Facebook, etc. Candidates must have an adaptable personality with an ability to get along with all team members. Candidate must also be focused and show a willingness to learn new skills. We are willing to train the right candidate. We prefer if you live in the Fraser Valley (Surrey, Langley, Cloverdale, Abbotsford, etc.) with have a vehicle for easy access to work.

This position involves a variety of duties which include: marking orders, blister packaging, general cleaning, assisting pharmacist with prescription dispensing, operating cash register, as well as assisting staff members with compounding of medications, as well as other duties as needed. We are open Mon-Fri 9:30am-5:30pm, Sat 9:30am-4pm and closed Sun/Holidays. The job may require occasional Saturday shifts if needed. We offer competitive wages, with benefits available in the future for the right candidate. The candidate must have a minimum of Grade 12 education (or equivalent). Previous pharmacy experience, as well as Pharmacy Assistant course completion at a local college, are assets. However, we welcome all eligible candidates, regardless of experience, to apply.
