Compensation

The expected salary for this position is $77,083 – $111,000 per year.

Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Job Purpose

As an Engineer/Senior Technologist at PVENG, you will be responsible for reviewing client-submitted pressure equipment design drawings and calculations to ensure compliance with applicable construction codes. You will create detailed 3D models, run and interpret Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and manage Canadian Registration Number (CRN) submissions.

What You'll Do

  • Interpret client drawings and validate them against construction codes
  • Verify client designs using commercial and customer pressure equipment software
  • Act as key communication point for client timelines and design issues
  • Create 3D models
  • Run and interpret FEA results
  • Manage CRN submissions
  • Work on medium to complex engineering projects
  • Develop knowledge in Pressure Vessels, Fittings, Heat Exchangers, FEA, Piping, and Pipe Stress Analysis

What You Bring

  • Technologist diploma or bachelor's degree
  • P.Eng designation and minimum 2 years' experience OR 5 years experience as a technologist
  • Knowledge of ASME Codes
  • Experience with Compress, PV Elite, DesignCalcs, Ansys, SolidWorks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
