What It's Like To Be a Northbridge Underwriter
As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting customized solutions for new mid-market commercial accounts. This includes a diverse range of clients such as business owners, retail operations, municipalities, building owners, non-profits, bus companies, schools, churches, long-term care facilities, healthcare professionals and more. You will manage complex risks, including those involving vulnerable populations, and underwrite across multiple lines of business including CGL, Abuse, Property, D&O, E&O, and Auto.

A key part of your role will involve leading and managing a wide range of broker partners to get a holistic picture of each risk and make underwriting decisions that make sense for all parties. You are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our internal and external stakeholders and love utilizing strong technical skills to ensure that risks are assessed properly.

• Commercial Underwriting
• Problem-solving and critical thinking

• Helping others develop through coaching and mentorship

If You Have

• 3+ years of commercial P&C underwriting experience, ideally in mid-market accounts
• Experience with new business underwriting
• Experience with healthcare accounts is a strong asset
• Have exposure to E&O, D&O, and Abuse coverages.
• Completed, or pursuing your CIP designation
