Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle and ensure that all freight is secured properly.

Duties

  • Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner while maintaining accurate delivery logs.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle both inside and out.
  • Assist with minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
  • Experience in commercial driving, with a strong understanding of freight transportation processes.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive repair is a plus, enabling quick troubleshooting of minor issues on the road.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently for loading and unloading cargo.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining delivery logs and vehicle inspections.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members, dispatchers, and customers.
