Job Overview

We're hiring a seasonal assistant to support our Shipping & Receiving Coordinator through our busiest months (Feb–end of June). Early start is available. Strong performance can lead to an extension or a full-time role.

What you'll do:

  • Answer incoming phone calls from internal staff, drivers, and customers.
  • Assist with loading/unloading workflow (verify counts, match paperwork).
  • Prepare and organize BOLs, pallet tags, packing slips, and load sheets.
  • Update daily shipping/receiving logs in Smartsheet, Excel, QuickBooks, and SAP—training will be provide.
  • Help stage outbound orders and track what's ready to go.
  • Support the main coordinator with admin and day-to-day tasks.

What you need:

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to handle fast-paced days.
  • Good communication and phone skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Comfortable working in a busy yard/warehouse environment.
  • Solid computer/data entry skills; experience with spreadsheets.

Work Conditions

  • Fast-paced office environment inside a shipping/receiving scale house.
  • Frequent interaction with drivers, management, and the public.
  • Extended periods of sitting and computer work.
  • Hours 7:00am to 5:00pm, possible overtime during peak weeks.
  • Overtime paid after 44 hours.
  • Duration: February to end of June.
