If you would like to work in a well-established, close knit local machine shop with a mix of prototype and production parts, then we may make a good match. We have a strong reputation for ultra high precision CNC milling and lathe work. If you wish to learn 3-4 axis CNC operation with exposure to lathe and 5-axis milling and have the chance to expand on the many multi-interdisciplinary skills used in fast pace machine shop then send us your resume and come and talk with us.

Main Tasks:

  • Learn how to read and interpret engineering drawings, specific customer requirements, work orders, tooling and set up sheets
  • Operate CNC 3-4 axis machines, or ability to learn on-the -job
  • Learn how to work within and recording tight tolerances
  • Learn and demonstrate strong focus for parts inspection within production batches
  • Work with other machinists on general shop duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a machine shop or a technical trade.
  • Or attendance at a technical institution and/or coop. experience, e.g. BCIT machinist program level 1

Shift Availability:

  • 7 am to 3:30 pm.
  • Rotation between day/afternoon shifts an option (with rate top up for afternoon shifts).
  • Possible O/T as needed
  • Monday to Friday, overtime on Saturday maybe available as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$31.00 per hour
