Our busy multi-disciplinary clinic is looking to hire a receptionist for very specific hours. Our clinic offers: Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Massage, Osteopathy, Naturopathic Medicine, Acupuncture, and more. We are located just South of Lakeridge Health Hospital in Oshawa. We currently have a fulltime office manager and two part-time receptionists.

**Required** hours long-term (not negotiable):
Please note that applicants must be available for all the days/times stated below however we may only need coverage for 4 of the days (details available later)
- Monday: 2:00pm-7:00pm
- Tuesdays: 2:00pm-8:00pm
- Wednesdays: 2:00pm-7:00pm
- Thursdays: 2:00pm-7:30pm
- Fridays: 2:00pm-7:00pm
- Occasional coverage of other shifts if a staff member is sick or on vacation (if it works out)
- Date of start: Dec approx)
Job Description:
- Answering phones (two line system); checking phone, text, and email messages in a professional format.
- Up and down stairs as needed to assist physios; must be comfortable with stairs
- Vacuuming and cleaning the clinic on Saturday mornings and ongoing as needed on other days during shift.
- Some lifting of inventory
- Booking patients in the schedule using "Jane"
- Accepting payments and submitting to insurance
- Assisting chiropractors and other practitioners with patients as needed
- Follow up calls with patients as needed
- Cleaning the clinic throughout your shift
- Assisting with laundry (sheets, towels etc)
- Checking treatment rooms: tidying up, re-filling paperwork/forms, etc.
- Must be comfortable with technology as our entire clinic runs through a patient management program called Jane for which you will be trained on.
- Looking for a long term commitment
- Creating social media posts (Facebook, instagram, twitter..)
Required skills:
- Social skills- must be able to comfortably answer phones and engage with staff and patients, while keeping in mind noise levels due to massages and acupuncture sessions.
- Must be comfortable working with technology as our patient management system is all online.
- Must be focused and careful with tasks
- Must work well with others
- Must be comfortable with stairs and some lifting
- Must be reliable and efficient
- In-person work is required. This job cannot be completed remotely.
- Must be able to keep busy with tasks during shift
- Must be able to pay attention to detail
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to avoid distractions that impair work
