About Roots & Tales Clinic

Roots & Tales Clinic is a psychotherapy and wellness clinic that supports children, youth,

and families through compassionate, inclusive, and developmentally informed care. Our

programs emphasize emotional well-being, creativity, connection, and experiential learning

— including seasonal camps that support growth through play, structure, and community.

About the Volunteer Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and caring volunteers to support our March Break Camp.

Volunteers will assist staff in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for

children participating in camp activities. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals

interested in psychology, education, child development, social work, or therapeutic

recreation.

Volunteer Responsibilities

● Support campers during structured activities, free play, and transitions.

● Assist facilitators with setup, cleanup, and organization of materials.

● Provide encouragement, guidance, and positive role modelling.

● Help ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.

● Observe and respond to children's needs with patience and empathy.

● Work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers.

Who We're Looking For

● Individuals who enjoy working with children.

● Reliable, responsible, and able to follow direction.

● Patient, compassionate, and respectful.

● Comfortable working in a group setting.

● Students pursuing (or interested in) psychology, education, social work, child & youth

care, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

● Previous experience with children is an asset but not required.

Schedule Requirements

● Availability during March Break (weekday daytime hours)

● Commitment to attend agreed-upon camp days
