The Position - A Professional Opportunity to Join a Dynamic Team

We are looking for an experienced individual to assist our Finance team for the remaining duration of a leave. This position will be temporary coverage for an eight (8) month term, expected to end in September 2026. The successful candidate is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the Finance Department's internal controls, records, systems and staff. The successful candidate will work with all departments to provide professional expertise, advice and assistance as required. They shall provide strategic leadership and perform statutory financial administrative functions in the absence of the Chief Financial Officer. The incumbent will support the Finance Department's staff in accordance with City's bylaws, policies, procedures, and statutory requirements. It is critical to the success of this role that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong desire to problem solve.

The ideal candidate will have their Accredited Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) with municipal experience and will participate in public matters including dealing with resident taxation issues or complaints through accounting staff. Manager of Financial Services ensures that all finance and accounting functions are carried out in accordance with established policies, statutes, and accepted accounting practices and principles.

This position is an 8-month term position and offers a salary of $109,029 to $125,165 (Step 1 – 5) per year plus 14% in lieu of benefits and vacation. Please visit our web site at for a full job description as well as additional background information on our community.
