Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Truck Plow Drivers to operate our fleet of plow trucks during Winnipeg's winter season. You will be responsible for safely clearing snow from commercial parking lots, residential communities, and private roadways across the city. When winter ends, this role transitions to our landscaping division, providing year-round employment operating dump trucks and supporting our summer operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate 1-ton and 3-ton trucks equipped with snow plows and salt/sand spreaders
  • Clear snow from commercial properties, residential areas, and private roadways throughout Winnipeg
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections according to Manitoba safety standards
  • Monitor weather conditions and respond to snow events as dispatched
  • Apply de-icing materials effectively and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and service records
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch and site supervisors via two-way radio
  • Transition to summer operations including:
  • Operating dump trucks for landscaping material delivery
  • Hauling equipment to job sites throughout Manitoba
  • Supporting landscape construction and maintenance crews

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Valid Manitoba Class 3 or 5 license with clean driver's abstract (mandatory)
  • Minimum 1 year experience operating vehicles with snow plow attachments
  • Experience with winter driving in Winnipeg conditions
  • Must be available for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays during snow events
  • Ability to navigate Winnipeg's road systems efficiently
  • Understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills
