Overview

Sales Associate, (Woodstock)

Our Woodstock store has an immediate opening for a Sales Associate. Reporting to the Retail Sales Manager our sales associates are responsible for retail sales across paint, flooring, appliances, furniture and window treatments while helping to oversee the day-to-day operation ofthese departments. Duties include setting up attractive floor and wall displays, researching and recommending inventory purchases, placing special orders, receiving product and maintaining inventory. In addition, this position includes greeting customers, offering information, confirming prices and providing point-of-sale functions. Specialized duties include offering colour and product selection recommendations, recommending decor and design options and staying current with trends in the industry. This position is also responsible for keeping the sales floor and storage areas clean and well organized. Duties may also include some cash work, product assembly, stock processing andassisting other departments as necessary.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required; training will be provided
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical products clearly
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to perform product demos confidently and effectively showcase features
  • Knowledge of merchandising principles and POS systems is a plus
  • Ability to work well within a team environment while demonstrating strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and maintain professionalism during busy periods
