Overview

We are seeking vigilant, dependable, and professional Security Guards for a PPE-required site in Vancouver. This role involves frequent patrols, strict adherence to safety protocols, and accurate reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment through proactive monitoring and consistent documentation. Prior experience in security, surveillance, or loss prevention is highly valued.

Shift Information

  • 12-hour graveyard shifts (Monday to Friday)
  • 12-hour day and night shifts (Saturday & Sunday)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled patrols approximately every 30 minutes
  • Complete scan-point patrols, ensuring all checkpoints are scanned as required
  • Capture accurate timestamps and supporting photos during patrols
  • Monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or unauthorized access
  • Enforce all site security procedures and PPE requirements
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, alarms, or emergencies
  • Maintain clear, detailed, and timely daily activity and incident reports
  • Control access points and verify credentials of staff, visitors, and contractors
  • Provide professional customer service while maintaining security standards

Requirements & Experience

  • Valid BC Security License (mandatory)
  • Vehicle required (primarily for shelter; majority of duties involve outdoor patrols)
  • Ability to work in a PPE-required environment
  • Experience with mobile patrol systems, scan points, and digital reporting is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remain alert during extended shifts
