Software Engineer, Platform

Join us in this pivotal role as we embark on our next phase of innovation. As a platform engineer at Kooltra, you will be instrumental in crafting the next generation of financial transaction processing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine mission-critical infrastructure to cater to feature and implementation developers, leveraging technologies like Kotlin, Kafka, Kubernetes, Salesforce, and AWS Serverless, including Lambdas, SQS, and DynamoDB.
  • Promote engaging experience both internal and external developers by leveraging OpenAPI documentation-first and industry standards integration patterns
  • Architect scalable platform services capable of handling millions of trades daily, using cutting-edge cloud technologies and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape and execute a long-term vision for maintaining and expanding Kooltra as a developer-centric platform.
  • Produce high-caliber, maintainable, well-tested code that aligns with team objectives.
What Makes You Stand Out:
  • A minimum of 5 years in software engineering, with a focus on Java or Kotlin.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in distributed software development, utilizing technologies such as Kafka, SQS, Kubernetes, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, RedShift, and expertise in event-driven system design.
  • 3 years of proficiency in DevOps with tools like Github Actions and Terraform.
  • A proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining production services
