DevOps Manager

The DevOps Manager will lead a team of engineers to deliver cloud platform-based projects, optimize infrastructure, streamline deployments, and manage costs effectively. This role requires a strategic leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for operational excellence.

Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON (Hybrid) 

Status: Contract

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the DevOps team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
• Oversee project intake, prioritization, and delivery across AWS and GCP environments
• Ensure stability and quick resolution of issues across multiple environments (development, test, staging, production)
• Partner with finance teams to plan cloud spend and implement cost optimization strategies
• Define KPIs and provide regular operational health reports to leadership

Qualifications, Skills & Experience: 

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform preferred), and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization

Nice to Have:

• Experience in multi-cloud strategy and governance
• Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
