Your Impact
In this role, you will ensure the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of all soil testing and field quality control activities that support safe, efficient, and high-quality construction at Red Chris Mine. Your leadership will help drive operational excellence and maintains the integrity of project execution.
As Part Of Our Team You Will
- Lead laboratory and field QC teams to deliver accurate, timely testing results
- Oversee daily QC schedules, resources, and testing frequencies
- Maintain and manage all QC data and reporting requirements
- Identify non-conformances and collaborate on corrective actions
- Provide training on SOPs, testing procedures, and design specifications
- Ensure safe work practices and maintain lab/worksite hygiene standards
- Monitor and coordinate calibration and maintenance of lab equipment
- Act as the primary liaison between QA and QC teams
Prerequisites For Your Success In This Role
- 5+ years in heavy civil quality testing or materials QC
- Solid understanding of soil mechanics and ASTM standards
- Experience supervising QC or lab personnel is an asset
- Proficiency with data management tools/software
- Knowledge of soils laboratory equipment applications and ability to carry out calibrations.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to build strong working relationships and lead a positive team environment
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
Your Work Environment
- Site-based role at Red Chris Mine
- Fly-in Fly-out worksite with a 2-weeks-on, 2-weeks-off rotation
- Hands-on work across field and laboratory environments
- Collaborative, safety-focused culture
- Leadership responsibility for QC technicians and lab personnel

The expected salary range for this role is CA$103,300 - $137,700/yr with additional bonuses, and benefits. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
