Job Description

As a Summer Student for our company, you will have an opportunity to work with various animal health professionals in a business, clinical and research environment. Moreover, this is a great way to gain exposure to our Animal Health's business offerings, providing valuable learning opportunities and exposure for young professionals with an interest in vector-borne disease in companion animal.

Summer Student, Scientific Marketing Affairs – Animal Health – Companion Animal

In this role your project would consist of:

  • Participation in a research project in support of understanding vector-borne disease

  • Engagement with our company's project leader throughout the summer project

  • Entering and analyzing data collected

  • Preparing a report to be presented to our company's Animal Health and partner and/or a relevant local/provincial association

Qualifications:

  • Interest in vector-borne disease.

  • Full-time veterinary student at the Ontario Veterinary College.

  • Must be available for summer student mandate from mid-May to mid-August.

  • Able to comply with biosecurity protocols and local public health requirements.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members and cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision.

  • Ability to learn and apply new information quickly.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.).

  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written).

  • Fluency in French is required.

Required field of study:

  • Veterinary Medicine

En tant qu'étudiant d'été dans notre entreprise , vous aurez l'occasion de travailler avec divers professionnels de la santé animale dans un environnement commercial, clinique et de recherche. De plus, ce stage constitue une excellente opportunité pour découvrir les activités de notre entreprise Santé Animale, offrant des expériences d'apprentissage précieuses et une visibilité pour les jeunes professionnels intéressés par les maladies vectorielles chez les animaux de compagnie.

Étudiant d'été, Affaires scientifiques et marketing – Santé animale – Animaux de compagnie
Dans ce rôle, votre projet consistera à:

  • Participer à un projet de recherche visant à mieux comprendre les maladies vectorielles.

  • Collaborer avec le chef de projet notre entreprise tout au long du stage.

  • Saisir et analyser les données recueillies.

  • Préparer un rapport à présenter à notre entreprise Santé Animale et à un partenaire et/ou à une association locale/provinciale pertinente.

Qualifications:

  • Intérêt pour les maladies vectorielles.

  • Étudiant vétérinaire à temps plein au Collège vétérinaire de l'Ontario.

  • Disponible pour le mandat d'étudiant d'été de la mi-mai à la mi-août.

  • Capacité à respecter les protocoles de biosécurité et les exigences locales de santé publique.

  • Capacité à établir et maintenir des relations de travail efficaces avec les membres de l'équipe et les équipes interfonctionnelles.

  • Capacité à travailler de manière autonome, avec une supervision limitée.

  • Capacité à apprendre et appliquer rapidement de nouvelles informations.

  • Permis de conduire valide.

  • Maîtrise des outils informatiques (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.).

  • Excellentes compétences en communication (orale et écrite).

  • La maîtrise du français est requise

Domaine d'études requis :

  • Médecine vétérinaire.
