US Tax Associate position available in Calgary, AB full-time in-office to start ASAP

A public accounting firm with a long-standing history across Canada and the U.S. who is looking to grow their team to service their clients for corporate and personal tax.

New role

Our client is seeking a driven and intellectually curious individual to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in accounting who is eager to grow professionally in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

You will be assisting U.S. clients with their corporate and personal tax filings. You'll be working closely with the U.S. Tax Manager and Senior U.S. Tax Associates to ensure volumes are met with accuracy and efficiency. This is a great step towards a leadership role within the tax world and will provide you with great experience to look back on.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Holds a Bachelor in Accounting.
  • Experience in U.S. taxation (personal) is required.
  • Enrolled in the CPA program or strong interest in pursuing the designation.
  • Demonstrate a passion for learning, a proactive mindset, and a strong sense of initiative.
  • Be a self-starter with a strong desire for continuous improvement.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Be confident and collaborative, working closely with both Canadian and U.S. lawyers and accountants.
