Job Overview
The Communications Writer will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives that align with business objectives and brand tone. The ideal candidate has experience writing for corporate audiences, understands financial or regulated environments, and can translate complex information into accessible, reader-friendly content.
Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and proofread communications for internal, executive, and external audiences
- Develop content for newsletters, intranet, email campaigns, and social media channels
- Partner with marketing, HR, and corporate communications teams to align messaging and strategy
- Adapt tone and style to suit various audiences while maintaining brand consistency
- Support leadership and internal initiatives through clear, engaging written materials
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with corporate policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in corporate communications, copywriting, or content development
- Proven ability to write for financial or highly regulated industries
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to tone and clarity
- Experience creating content for both internal and external communication channels
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with accessibility (AODA) and brand compliance standards is an asset
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams
