About the Job

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to support and scale our corporate legal management platform built on Google Cloud Platform. You'll help operate a mission-critical legal tech application by managing our TypeScript/Go monorepo, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, improving cloud infrastructure, and streamlining development workflows. You'll work across serverless systems, microservices, local tooling, and cross-environment deployments — ensuring that performance, reliability, and velocity stay high as the product grows.

Infrastructure & Cloud

• Google Cloud Platform (primary cloud provider)
• Firebase (Functions, Firestore, Emulators)
• Serverless architecture with Firebase Functions

Application Stack

• Monorepo with TypeScript + Go microservices
• Build tooling: Make, esbuild, bun/bunx
• Testing: Jest (unit) and Playwright (E2E)
• Code quality: Biome (linting & formatting)

Key Services

• Web application (Go backend + TypeScript frontend)

• PDF processing service (Go)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Google Cloud Platform infrastructure and Firebase services
• Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for a multi-language monorepo
• Support multi-service deployments across staging and production environments
• Monitor application performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Maintain and improve development tooling, emulators, and build workflows
• Implement infrastructure as code for cloud resources
• Support and scale our Playwright-based E2E testing infrastructure
• Troubleshoot production incidents, coordinate releases, and improve reliability practices
• Collaborate with engineering on build system upgrades and tooling optimization
• Maintain deployment configurations across multiple GCP projects

Prerequisites

• 3+ years of DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Firebase
• Proficiency with serverless architectures and cloud functions
• Experience with monorepo build systems and dependency management
• Knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript and Go ecosystems
• Strong CI/CD pipeline design and implementation experience
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
• Experience with containerization and deployment strategies
• Monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)

Nice to Have

• Deep experience with Firebase (Functions, Firestore, Auth)
• Familiarity with Make-based build systems
• Experience managing E2E testing infra (Playwright, Selenium, etc.)
• Background in legal tech or regulated industries
• Experience with esbuild or modern JS bundlers
• Knowledge of PDF processing or document generation workflows
