DescriptionClean Harbors Industrial Services, in Sudbury, ON is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Representative. The Health and Safety Representative will support local Leadership by inspecting work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company and Provincial Health and Safety policies and regulations; will oversee ongoing work sites to ensure team members comply with company and client safety requirements along with, promoting our positive Health and Safety culture.  WORK LOCATION : Primary- Sudbury, Ontario Why work for Clean Harbors?Health and Safety is our #1 Priority and we Live It 3-6-5 Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment Group RRSP with Company Matching Component Competitive wages: Starting at $85,000 dependent on experience.Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement Positive and safe work environments Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career ResponsibilitiesCoach team members to understand their safety responsibilities to enhance performance.Foster and maintain positive client and Clean Harbors operational relationships.Boots on the ground, in the field in all weather conditions - >60% in the field.Audit performance and compliance with Health & Safety policies, programs, and procedures.Facilitate incident investigations.Collaborating with Leaders, support safety meetings on topics designed to promote a better understanding of Clean Harbors Health & Safety policies, programs, procedures, or general Health & Safety.Conduct Health and safety site inspections and audits to assure compliance with Corporate Health & Safety policies, programs, procedures and guidelines, and proper work practices needed to maintain safe operations. Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.Ability to develop, review and update Job Hazard Analysis.Respond to emergencies and incidents and manage injury and incident reporting and follow-up.Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in operational Health & Safety procedures to complete assignments.Inspects assigned work areas and equipment to identify Health & Safety compliance issues.Documents safety inspections- Near Miss, Unsafe Acts, Unsafe Conditions and Safe Operations with corrective actions;Performs other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of 5+ years Health and Safety experience within an industrial settingCRSP designation preferred.  OH&S Diploma, certification is an asset.Class G driver's license required.Effective communication and people skills.Ability to travel to other locations across Canada to support projects, turnarounds, and outages. Wondering what to expect in starting your career with Clean Harbors? Click Here to view a Day in the Life Video 40-years of sustainability in action.
