Job DescriptionGrowing City is hiring temporary Evening Grounds & Waste Management Staff to join our on-site sustainability team for a major outdoor attraction running from December to middle of January 2026.Shifts are Wednesday through Sunday, 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM (Overnight).This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors (in all weather conditions), have strong attention to detail, and thrive in public-facing environments.ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools to ensure high-quality site upkeep.Maintain clean and organized grounds throughout the event site.Conduct spot pick-up of garbage and litter to keep all areas presentable and safe.Monitor all waste and recycling bins, ensuring they are emptied or swapped promptly when full.Empty garbage containers as required and ensure waste is disposed of in the correct designated areas.Support zero-waste goals by sorting materials correctly and preventing contamination of recycling streams.Mop floors and maintain cleanliness in indoor/back-of-house areas as assigned.Clean and restock washrooms (including toilets) to maintain hygienic standards throughout the shift.Respond professionally to public inquiries and assist guests as needed.Represent Growing City with professionalism and courtesy at all times.Follow all site safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents to the supervisor.Position RequirementsMust be available to work evenings (Wednesday-Sunday) from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM.Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and large crowds.Excellent customer service and communication skills - this is a highly public-facing role.Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing or walking for extended periods.Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in small teams.Eligibility to work in Canada.Assets (not required but great to have):Previous experience in events, waste management, or hospitality.Passion for the environment.How to ApplyPlease submit your resume via Indeed or directly to careers We look forward to meeting motivated individuals who care about keeping our city clean and sustainableJob Types: Part-time, SeasonalContract length: 3 monthsPay: From $18.00 per hourWork Location: In person
