Operations & Production Lead – Nutritional Manufacturing

A manufacturer of natural health and wellness products seeks a hands-on leader to manage cutting edge natural health products. Reporting to the President, this role ensures schedules, quality, and compliance targets are consistently met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily production scheduling to meet demand requirements.
  • Monitor efficiency, yield, and downtime; correct variances quickly.
  • Ensure GMP compliance documentation and audit readiness.
  • Enforce safety procedures and allergen controls.
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate production staff and a maintenance technician.
  • Implement Lean practices and process improvements to reduce waste and increase output.
  • Collaborate with R&D to test and scale new formulations.
  • Track cost, labour, and inventory accuracy in coordination with Supply Chain.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS.

BS or Diploma
in Food Science, Engineering, or similar discipline; equivalent experience considered.

  • 6 - 8 years in regulated manufacturing (food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical), including 2+ years supervising teams.
  • Knowledge of GMP, OEE tracking, and production planning tools.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred:

  • Background in nutraceutical or confectionery production.
  • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement training.
  • Experience scaling new products or starting new production lines.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is an asset.
