Trillium Health Partners and their security department are proud winners of the IAHSS Lindberg Bell Award 2017. It is also one of Canada's largest academically affiliated tertiary care hospitals with highly specialized regional programs in advanced cardiac, vascular, stroke, neurosciences, orthopedic, and sexual assault/domestic violence services.


Position Details:
Position: Full-Time EDMH Patrol

Site: Mississauga Hospital |100 Queensway W Mississauga

Averaging Agreement : Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours 

Hours: Continental Nights

Payrate: $19.63/hr (based on levelling system)

Posting Date: November 27th, 2025
Internal Closing Date: December 4th, 2025

External Closing Date: December 11th, 2025

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site.Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities. Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff as needed during crises and evacuations.Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures.De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally.Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns.Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved.Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed. Address any violations in a manner that upholds hospital safety standards

Prerequisites:

Valid Ontario Security LicenseValid First Aid & CPR Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)Covid Vaccine two dosesImmunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin testEnglish (oral and written) fluency is a mustPrevious experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.Diploma in Justice studies/police foundations is considered an asset. Vulnerable Sector Check - to be completed upon hire  Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the certifications with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability   Authorized to legally work in Canada

Certification Requirements (All)

Valid Certification in First Aid, CPR and AED

Valid Security Licence

Vulnerable Sector Check

COVID Double Vaccinated

Immunization Record for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella and two step TB skin test

Minimum of 1 year security experience

Proof of immunizations for TB, MMR, Varicella
