We're excited to grow the R&D team at ResponsiveAds with the focus to develop a suite of new services leveraging our rich data assets to drive ML and AI innovation. We're looking for a talented data scientist (early-career and seasoned professionals) to join our growing AI/ML team. In this role, you'll play a key part in advancing ResponsiveAds to the forefront of AI in ad tech, with strong opportunities for learning, ownership, and personal growth. You'll report directly to the COO and collaborate closely with the backend engineering leads who will collaborate with you through the data science and engineering landscape.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and self-motivated individual, eager to continuously learn and grow as a data scientist. They should have a strong interest in mining data to extract insights, and building models to handle customer needs. A foundation in training ML/AI models and testing performance is important. Key topics include supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning, and LLM. This role requires collaboration with team members to ideate and develop ML/AI models that enhance backend systems. The candidate will also be responsible for collaborating on the full lifecycle of ML projects, encompassing data processing, model development, integration, and ongoing maintenance in production environments.
In this role, you will wear many hats as you refine your ML engineering and data science skills across our tools; turning learning into meaningful impact.
Compensation will be competitive, commensurate with experience, and a combination of base salary and bonus. This is a unique opportunity to take a "sales-ready" product to the next level in a growing market.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
- Canadian Resident.
- 3+ years of experience (or equivalent) working with data science (AI, machine learning) or algorithm design (academic or practical).
- Strong understanding of data processing techniques such as data cleaning, feature engineering, data wrangling.
- Background knowledge of (CSS, JavaScript, HTML) is essential for our machine learning projects. Our models analyze creative ad layouts, requiring an understanding of DOM structure.
- Strong knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning models, LLM, and assessing models performance.
- Knowledge of MongoDB and SQL.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate remotely.
- Team-oriented initiative personality with a positive attitude and a love for the backend and startups.
"BONUS" QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS and GCP services.
- Understanding of how HTML structure impacts layout, essential for our machine learning projects.
- Experience in AdTech.
