Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Auto Appraiser to join our automotive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of vehicle valuation, excellent customer service skills, and experience in dealership or mechanic environments. This role involves evaluating vehicles for damage, estimating repair costs, and providing accurate appraisals to facilitate sales and insurance processes. The Auto Appraiser plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency within our dealership or repair facility.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and overall condition
  • Provide accurate vehicle appraisals using Mitchell Connect and associated repair planning programs like PartsKick, PartsBridge, CollisionLink & ProfitNet
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain appraisal findings and answer questions
  • Maintain detailed records of vehicle repair process
  • Stay updated on automotive repair techniques, market trends, and valuation methods

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a dealership environment or automotive repair shop is highly preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards, market values, and insurance procedures is desirable
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure job load success

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
