Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced siding installer to join our growing team. This role involves installing various siding materials on both residential and commercial projects throughout Central Alberta. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship that aligns with our company values.
Key Responsibilities
- Install vinyl, LP engineered wood, James Hardie fiber cement, and steel siding on residential and commercial properties
- Perform soffit, fascia, and related exterior trim installations
- Measure, cut, and fit siding materials with precision and accuracy
- Ensure proper installation techniques that account for ventilation, insulation, and weatherproofing requirements
- Maintain clean and safe work sites throughout project duration
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
- Conduct quality checks to ensure installations meet company standards and building codes
- Operate hand tools, pneumatic nailers, power tools, and specialized equipment safely
- Travel to job sites throughout Central Alberta as required
- Communicate effectively with project managers and team members regarding project progress
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional siding installation experience on both residential and commercial projects
- Proven expertise installing multiple siding types: vinyl, engineered wood, fiber cement, and steel
- Strong knowledge of building codes, proper installation techniques, and weatherproofing methods
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
- Physical capability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform demanding manual labor
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with soffit, fascia, and eavestrough installation
- Knowledge of energy-efficient installation practices
- Familiarity with various siding manufacturers and product specifications
- Experience working with scaffolding, lifts, and fall protection equipment
- First Aid certification

Work Environment

- Travel required throughout service area including Red Deer, Lacombe, Ponoka, Penhold, Rimbey, Stettler, Sylvan Lake, Rocky Mountain House, and Calgary
