Job Description – Carwash Attendant

Position Summary:

Devon Transport takes pride in providing clean and well-maintained vehicles for every rental. The staff at this location are responsible for ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are maintained together with simple vehicle maintenance such as ensuring that our rental vehicles are in good working order. As a Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that vehicles are cleaned to the highest standards while delivering an exceptional experience for every customer.

Cleanliness of storage facilities, the property and rental lot are also key components to this position. The high standards of cleanliness extend to all areas of Devon and we pride ourselves in a well maintained and clean facility that our customers have confidence when storing their belongings.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Wash Cars Returned from Customers - exterior and interior - to a high standard
  • Ensure Detailed inspections performed on all returned vehicles
  • Check fluids and accessories of vehicles
  • Liaise with Customers in the lot (as necessary)
  • Complete basic check of vehicles to ensure good working order
  • Driving of customers or movement of vehicles
  • Identify and record new and existing damage
  • Work with team members to prioritize vehicle needs based on customer demand
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance as scheduled
  • Assist in other office duties as designated by Manager
  • Assist customers as needed with luggage, basic vehicle operation instructions
  • Have an open mind and eagerness to always be learning
  • Snow removal and salt parking areas and entrances
  • Dispose of garbage and recycling
  • General cleaning duties in the wash bay, parking lot, and storage facility
  • Clean out soap buckets, drains and catch basins
  • Vacuum maintenance and cleaning inventory completed
  • Assist with moving aid stock and inventory
  • Complete closing activities such as water shut off, head adjusted, roll up hoses
  • Ensure gates, doors, vehicles are secured
  • Fleet audit and key check
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License (Minimum BC Class 5 required)
  • Attention to Detail
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning tools
  • Previous Detailing Experience considered an asset
  • General Automotive Knowledge considered an asset
  • Vehicle detailing experience considered an asset
