The Department of French seeks a Sessional Lecturer for the following course:

 

FSL120H1S - Elementary French III

This course is intended for students having some knowledge of French but wishing to increase their proficiency in written and spoken French comprehension and production. Students also gain an introduction to a variety of French-speaking cultures.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD in French literature/linguistics or in a relevant field. Experience in teaching language courses at the university level. Strong expertise in course outlines, planning, preparation of lecture materials. Fluency in French and English.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching this specific course. Extensive knowledge of the use of Quercus, specifically test manager and communication tools.

Duties

Teaching a language course

Preparation of lectures and related course materials, contact hours, marking of assignments and tests, final exams/assessments if applicable, meeting with course coordinator.

Availability for in-person meetings and office hours on STG campus for the duration of the contract.

Duties of this position shall be performed at the campus on which the position is located. Where the duties are intended to be performed at another location, such other location will be specified in the posting.

Final availability of the position(s) is contingent upon enrolment, budgetary consideration and the determination of appointments as governed by the collective agreement.

LEC0201 Monday 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM., Wednesday 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
