Maintenance Electrician

Position Overview

We are seeking a certified Journeyman Electrician to join our Maintenance and Start-Up team supporting an elevating device system. This role is ideal for an experienced electrician looking for consistent early-morning work with on-call responsibilities.

The work involves daily inspection, maintenance, and start-up activities to ensure the equipment is fully operational for the day. Reliability, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Work Schedule

• Approximately 3 hours per day
• All work must be completed by 7:30 AM
• Weekends included
• On-call duties required (rotational or as scheduled)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, inspection, and start-up of elevating device equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and control issues
• Respond to on-call service requirements as needed
• Complete work safely and in accordance with applicable codes and standards
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate status/issues to the team
• Ensure equipment readiness and operational reliability

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician certification
• Experience in maintenance, service, or start-up environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable with early-morning work and on-call responsibilities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Familiarity with elevating devices or similar systems is an asset
