We're looking for a journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter A who has extensive experience with hydronic heating systems to join our team in Fort McMurray. What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain boilers (Laars, RBI, Lochinvar, Super-Hot, Thermal Solutions, Viessmann etc.)
  • Hydronic system troubleshooting: pumps, valves, sensors, mixing stations, expansion, glycol systems, snowmelt
  • Combustion analysis, venting, safeties (LWCOs, flow switches, pressure controls)
  • Perform seasonal maintenance and start-ups on multi-boiler systems in commercial and multi-family buildings
  • Collaborate with a supportive team that actually knows what they're doing
  • Interact professionally with clients and help them understand their systems (without talking down to them)

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years heating experience preferred (but strong 3–4 year techs considered)
  • Solid understanding of industry best practices
  • Someone who can think — not just swap parts
  • Team-first mindset: helpful, respectful, no ego
  • Clean, organized, steady, reliable
  • Valid Gasfitter A, or equivalent experience working toward it
  • A desire to keep learning and growing in the trade

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of gas appliance sequence of operation

Strong knowledge of hydronic heating systems, including boilers, circulators, and heating terminals

  • Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve plumbing problems
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with other construction professionals and provide exceptional customer service

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $120,000.00-$160,000.00 per year

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

Experience:

  • plumbing: 4 years (required)
  • hydronic heating: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • and clean class five driver's license? (required)
  • Gasfitter A license (preferred)
