Role Description
The CPAP Clinician is a full-time, on-site role based in Halifax, NS. The primary responsibilities include conducting assessments and consultations for clients requiring CPAP therapy, coordinating personalized treatment plans, and providing training and education on CPAP equipment usage. The clinician will monitor patient progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes. Additional responsibilities include staying up-to-date on advancements in sleep therapy and maintaining accurate patient records to ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Expertise in CPAP therapy, sleep apnea assessment, and treatment planning
- Strong patient education, training, and communication skills
- Proficiency in maintaining patient records and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists and mental health professionals
- Knowledge of advancements in sleep therapy and related medical equipment
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail when assessing treatment effectiveness
- Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy, healthcare, or a related field (or equivalent experience); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) designation preferred
