Snow Plow Operator – On Call (All Hours)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Snow Plow Operator to join our team for the winter season. This is an on-call position, requiring availability at all hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on weather conditions. The ideal candidate is self-directed and able to monitor weather patterns independently, ensuring they arrive on-site as needed when snowfall begins or conditions change.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate snow plow trucks, tractors and other snow removal equipment
• Clear snow from parking lots, driveways, and walkways
• Move snow safely around and between vehicles without causing damage
• Apply salt or sand as required
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on equipment
• Respond to call-outs in a timely manner during weather events
• Follow all safety procedures and site requirements

Qualifications

• Previous experience in snow removal and equipment operation is required
• Ability to maneuver equipment safely around parked vehicles and tight spaces
• Valid driver's licence with clean driving record
• Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on-site quickly when called
• Ability to work in cold, harsh weather conditions for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and safety
