Job Description: The Assistant Head Nurse assists the Care Team Manager to assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate Nursing Services of the nursing department in keeping with the policies, philosophies and objectives of SHA.

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant long term care nursing experience

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Certificate (BLS-HCP)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS)
  • Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable

  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge in nursing process
