Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, fluid top-offs, and basic inspections, ensuring customer vehicles are serviced efficiently and safely. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop automotive repair skills within a professional dealership environment.

Duties

  • Conduct oil and filter changes using hand tools and power tools in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections to identify potential mechanical issues
  • Top off fluids such as coolant, windshield washer fluid, and transmission fluid
  • Assist with basic maintenance tasks including tire rotations and battery checks
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment
  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions
  • Promote additional maintenance or repair services when appropriate, supporting sales efforts
  • Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and recommend further repairs if necessary

Requirements

  • Dealership experience or mechanic experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and other automotive equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts or equipment as needed
  • Basic understanding of automotive repair processes and maintenance standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and safety practices in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience with sales or upselling services is a plus but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.11-$26.75 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
