Aborist/climber

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Arborist/Climber to join our team. This role involves working outdoors to maintain and enhance tree health and landscape aesthetics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and tree care, with the ability to operate specialized equipment and perform complex climbing tasks. Duties

• Climb trees safely using ropes, harnesses, and climbing gear to perform pruning, trimming, and removal as needed
• Use rigging techniques to safely lower branches and debris during tree removal or maintenance projects
• Operate bucket trucks and bucket operation equipment for access to high or hard-to-reach areas
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, mulching, and general site cleanup
• Apply horticultural practices to promote tree health and growth
• Assist with the setup and operation of specialized equipment such as cranes or other lifting devices
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations

Experience

• Prior experience in arboriculture, landscape maintenance, or horticulture is preferred
• Knowledge of rigging techniques for safe tree work is essential
• Experience operating bucket trucks or similar aerial lift equipment is advantageous
• Strong understanding of horticultural principles related to tree health and landscape management
• Ability to work at heights safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
