We're looking for qualified teachers and teacher-candidates to join our team in Alliston, ON and the surrounding area.

S.M.A.R.T. Tutors provide in-person tutoring to students in their homes and at local libraries. Our tutors schedule their own sessions Monday through Friday (4:00-8:30 PM) in communities throughout Simcoe County.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver personalized lessons aligned with the Ontario Curriculum across appropriate grade levels.
• Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions in students' homes and local libraries.
• Track and document student progress, communicate professionally with families.
• Work collaboratively within our educator-led team: share resources, attend monthly professional development meetings.
• Commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week during peak times (Mon–Fri, 4:00-8:30 PM).

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or current enrolment in a B.Ed. program
• Transitional Certificate or Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certification
• Familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (upon hire)
• Reliable transportation and valid insurance for travel to in-home sessions

Preferred:

• Prior tutoring or teaching experience
• Ability to teach multiple subjects or divisions
