At Alto, we are actively contributing to the transformation of Canada's future with our high-speed train project connecting Quebec City and Toronto. With the support of the Government of Canada, this innovative project aims to improve the quality of life of our citizens, strengthen ties between communities and stimulate economic growth.
Would you like to take on a stimulating, high-impact challenge? We are looking for an Analyst, Contract Management. Please note that the candidate may be based in one of our 2 offices: Montreal or Toronto.
The role
Reporting to the Contract Manager, Commercial and Contracts, the Analyst, Contract Management, plays a crucial role in supporting Alto's contract administration function, with a particular focus on the Pre-Development Agreement (PDA) that governs the Co-Development Phase. During this phase, Alto and Cadence, the preferred private developer partner, collaborate to advance the project design, engage in consultations with local communities, Rightsholders, and stakeholders, and secure a positive Impact Assessment decision, among other activities. As part of the Commercial team, the Contract Administration function plays a critical role in supporting Alto's operations. Key responsibilities include advising teams on contract interpretation, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and conditions, and delivering analytical insights to enhance contract performance. This role thrives on collaboration—working closely with cross-functional teams to align strategies, resolve challenges, and unlock value. It also involves engaging with Cadence when needed to drive shared outcomes.
The Responsibilities
- Act as a key liaison between commercial, legal, and operational teams to ensure contract strategies are aligned and executed effectively.
- Conduct analysis to support the team interactions with Cadence.
- Assist in monitoring Cadence's performance by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring compliance with the contract terms.
- Support the team in the review of invoices, changes requests and contractual documents by ensuring compliance with the contract terms.
- Develop dashboards, maintain logs and prepare reports and presentations to inform the leadership on contract-related activities.
- Conduct research and contract analysis to support future agreement strategies.
- Lead internal planning and reporting to deliver clear visibility into key team activities.
The Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or law, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Bilingualism (English and French), spoken and written.
- Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt in an evolving environment.
- Detail-oriented, action-driven and result-focused
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Why join our innovative team?
- Basic paid group insurance for you and your family: medical, dental, life, disability, etc.
- Access to wellness and health accounts to support your lifestyle.
- Flex-Alto account of $500 to encourage a healthier approach and a more sustainable mode of transportation.
- A retirement plan and savings options (RRSP and TFSA).
- Vacations based on experience, available upon hiring.
- An incentive compensation program.
- Flexible hybrid work mode.
- A work environment that encourages initiative, innovation, and forward-thinking solutions.
- A unique opportunity to shape the future of transportation in Canada.
