The Role:
We're looking for an Electrical Project Manager to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the President and working closely with our existing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the seamless execution of commercial and light industrial projects, ensuring client satisfaction and upholding our core values of building trust, working together, and providing solutions. We are looking for a natural leader who wants to grow into a key leadership position on our team, helping shape the future of Leading Edge Electric.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of commercial and light industrial electrical experience
- 2 years of electrical project management and estimating experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Advanced proficiency in project management concepts, including estimating, scheduling, and quality control
- Expertise in resource allocation, labor scheduling, and materials tracking against estimates
- Advanced knowledge of construction/project management and estimating software such as Bluebeam and Accubid
- Advanced knowledge of CEC and local building codes and bylaws; FSR-B preferred
- Knowledge of construction contracts and conditions
- Ability to interpret technical specifications from blueprints, drawings, and spec sheets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration - preferred
Key Duties:
- Oversee complete project cycle from lead to closeout, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to quality standards
- Work with customers and consultants on design-build, design assist projects to provide superior value and service
- Prepare proposals and negotiate contracts ensuring expectations of scope, schedule, quality and cost are clearly understood by all stakeholders
- Review and negotiate vendor quotes, BOM's and submittals to ensure project compliance
- Develop and maintain relationships with staff, clients, contractors, and vendors
- Coordinate work activities, maintain clear communication with stakeholders, and manage resource allocation
- Monitor project costs and budgets, seeking opportunities for cost savings and ensuring financial accountability
- Interpret technical specifications and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations
- Utilize project management software and tools for efficient project execution
- Identify and mitigate project risks, while fostering a culture of safety and compliance
- Collaborate with project teams to address challenges, implement solutions, and achieve project objectives
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, soliciting feedback, and implementing best practices
