is seeking both a
Junior
and
Senior Project Cost Controller
with a proven track record of proactive cost management across both new initiatives and enhancements to existing capital infrastructure.
Working closely with project management, these roles will deliver timely, actionable cost insights and collaborate cross-functionally to gather key project data — enabling risk mitigation in real time and the preparation of accurate, formalized cost reporting.

when faced with ambiguity.
Please note that theses positions are in office, with periodic site visits as warranted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execution of project budgets and rolling forecasts
- Detailed variance analysis, including relevant KPI's
- Documentation and analysis of cost impacts due to changes in scope
- Understanding of accounting principles to identify cost trends
- Cross functional partnership to ensure appropriate cost allocations
- Collaboration with finance for variance analytics and to ensure reporting accuracy
- Formalized monthly reporting packages for senior stakeholders
- Maintenance of updated assumptions (e.g. inflation, FX rates)
- Provision of inputs for corporate planning
- Maintenance and improvements of dashboards
- Weekly touchpoints with project managers and operations
Requirements:
- CPA or CFA designation; PMP or working towards designation is an asset
- Experience in oil & gas industry
- Knowledge of ASPE or IFRS
- Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems and MS Suite
- Advanced financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt communication to audience at large
- Experience with systems integration is considered an asset
Remuneration:
- $85K - $130K pending role and experience
- Discretionary bonuses
- Benefits, including paramedical
