Reports to: Store Manager

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Position Overview

The Sales Associate is responsible to achieve personal sales goals and KPI's through exceptional customer service. Maintain visual standards and support store operations while following corporate policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales

  • Actively participate in achieving sales targets and goals set by store management.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current promotions and sales.
  • Promote sales and special promotions to maximize revenue.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell products to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

  • Customer Service Excellence

  • Greet and welcome customers with a friendly manner as they enter the store.

  • Assist customers in locating products and provide detailed product information.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions by offering detailed product information.
  • Handle customer inquiries professionally.
  • Provide personalized shopping assistance to customers.

  • Store Presentation & Visual Standards

  • Ensure the sales floor is well-maintained, organized, and visually appealing.

  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store.
  • Assist in visual merchandising and the maintaining proper product displays to enhance the shopping experience.

  • Operational Support

  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and tagging merchandise.

  • Assist in maintaining stockroom organization standards.
  • Support all inventory handling procedures, including consolidations, recalls, markdowns, shipment and receiving.
  • Support all corporate visual directives and maintaining standards throughout the day.
  • Participate in regular store meetings and training sessions.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by alerting suspicious activity of potential security issues to management.

  • Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store objectives.

  • Aligned with common goals to help drive store's objectives..
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth store operations.
  • Review all communication tools to keep up-to-date on business performance and other key tasks to be completed as directed by the management team.

Position Requirements

Education:

High School or College Degree or commensurate retail experience.

Previous Experience

Previous retail or customer service experience (preferably in fashion apparel/footwear).

Required Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Basic math skills for handling transactions

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Working Conditions

  • The physical environment of this position requires the employee to work mainly indoors
  • Be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and reach for extended periods of time
  • Climb ladders in order to reach merchandise on top shelves
  • Lift merchandise up to 30 lbs. and move fixtures throughout the store

  • Faites des ventes croisées et incitatives de produits pour maximiser les opportunités de vente.
  • Traitez les transactions des clients avec précision et efficacité à l'aide du système de point de vente (PDV).

  • Excellence du service à la clientèle

  • Accueillez et accueillez les clients de manière amicale lorsqu'ils entrent dans le magasin.

  • Aider les clients à localiser les produits et fournir des informations détaillées sur les produits.
  • Comprendre les besoins des clients et recommander des produits ou des solutions appropriés en offrant des informations détaillées sur les produits.

  • Présentation du magasin et normes visuelles

  • Maintenir la propreté et l'ordre du magasin.
  • Aider au marchandisage visuel et au maintien d'étalages de produits appropriés pour améliorer l'expérience d'achat.

  • Soutien opérationnel

  • Aider à recevoir, déballer et étiqueter la marchandise.

  • Aider à maintenir les normes d'organisation de l'entrepôt.
  • Soutenir toutes les procédures de traitement des stocks, y compris les regroupements, les rappels, les démarques, l'expédition et la réception.
  • Soutenir toutes les directives visuelles de l'entreprise et maintenir les normes tout au long de la journée.
  • Participez à des réunions régulières en magasin et à des séances de formation.
  • Suivez toutes les politiques et procédures de l'entreprise, y compris celles liées à la sécurité et à la sûreté.
  • Soutenir les efforts de prévention des pertes en signalant à la direction toute activité suspecte de problèmes de sécurité potentiels.

  • Collaboration d'équipe

  • Travailler en collaboration avec les membres de l'équipe pour atteindre les objectifs du magasin.

Exigences du poste

Formation :

Diplôme d'études secondaires ou collégiales ou expérience proportionnelle dans le commerce de détail.

Expérience antérieure

Expérience antérieure en vente au détail ou en service à la clientèle (de préférence dans les vêtements et les chaussures de mode).
