We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager to lead mechanical building systems projects from concept through construction. This role combines hands-on technical design with team leadership and project ownership across commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection system design
- Own full project lifecycle: concept, detailed design, and construction support
- Ensure code compliance (OBC, ASHRAE, NFPA) and coordinated, constructible designs
- Develop and review Revit and AutoCAD models, drawings, and calculations
- Provide technical mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers
- Review design packages and establish quality control milestones
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines
- Support RFIs, shop drawings, site reviews, and construction administration
- Contribute to internal standards, workflows, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
- P.Eng designation (or eligibility) preferred
- 10+ years of mechanical systems design experience
- 3+ years leading projects and mentoring engineering teams
- Strong hands-on Revit and AutoCAD skills
- Experience across commercial, institutional, and industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and standards
- Excellent technical communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites
