We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager to lead mechanical building systems projects from concept through construction. This role combines hands-on technical design with team leadership and project ownership across commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection system design
  • Own full project lifecycle: concept, detailed design, and construction support
  • Ensure code compliance (OBC, ASHRAE, NFPA) and coordinated, constructible designs
  • Develop and review Revit and AutoCAD models, drawings, and calculations
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers
  • Review design packages and establish quality control milestones
  • Coordinate with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines
  • Support RFIs, shop drawings, site reviews, and construction administration
  • Contribute to internal standards, workflows, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • P.Eng designation (or eligibility) preferred
  • 10+ years of mechanical systems design experience
  • 3+ years leading projects and mentoring engineering teams
  • Strong hands-on Revit and AutoCAD skills
  • Experience across commercial, institutional, and industrial projects
  • Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and standards
  • Excellent technical communication and leadership skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites
