Job Description: The Nursing Supervisor is accountable for the day-to-day and long-term coordination of nursing services at St. Peter's Hospital.  In addition, she/he is responsible for Inpatient Care.  As an experienced practitioner, the Nursing Supervisor provides leadership and direction and is responsible along with the manager for ensuring the efficient and effective use of human and fiscal resources by applying sound administrative techniques, principles, and practice.

Experience

  • Five years recent acute or community nursing experience
  • 3 years experience in clinical area and/or involve charge nurse coordination

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BsCN)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other care providers
  • Ability to integrate clinical knowledge and experience into clinical practice
  • Ability to be self-directed, creative, collaborative and to have sound judgement
  • Negotiation, conflict resolution and mediation skills.
  • Knowledge in principles of patient and family centered care
  • Knowledge in evaluating and leading process improvement projects
