PASTRY CHEF/BAKER- We are currently seeking a pastry chef to grow our culinary team.
We have a professional kitchen that is reliant and fueled by motivated, hardworking individuals that have a passion for food. A good positive attitude is mandatory.
Job Duties:
- Prepare all of Mercato dessert - cakes, cookies, tiramisu
- Prepare bread - focaccia, pizza dough
Terms of Employment: Full time (must be available days,evenings & weekends)
Salary: Starting wage between $18-$24 based on experience
Start Date: As soon as possible
Status: Canadian Citizen, Permanent resident, or valid work permit (minimum 1 year) required
Experience: Previous experience (min. 1 year) is required and culinary education is an asset.
Education: Completion of high school or previous work experience in a professional kitchen
Credentials: Red Seal certification or apprenticeship program (asset but not required)
Essential Skills: Speak English, Read English, Write English, Reading text, Numeracy,
Work Setting: Bakery
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Transportation: Public transportation is available but having a vehicle is an asset.
Work Location: Mercato (West Springs Location)
