Varsity Men's Baseball Inter-Collegiate Head Coach

Competition Number: 25-SSAA-05

Overview: St. Clair College competes in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA). This position encompasses leading the women's softball program through their Fall season. St. Clair College maintains competitive status in this association and has the potential of competing in post-season play and national championships.

Duties: Under the general supervision of the Director, College Recreational Services, along with the Athletic Coordinator, the incumbent will select, train, and coach the team as well as recruit athletes both from within eligible students already enrolled at the college and from potential students from outside the college. Activities will include monitoring academic progress, fundraising (if required), some administrative duties relating to travel, accommodation, and meals. The coach assists in the development of schedules for practices, exhibition and league games, and tournaments.

Qualifications: Successful applicants should possess relevant softball coaching experience at the high school, club, or College/University levels. N.C.C.P. Performance Level certification or equivalent coaching credentials are recommended and will be given preference. Candidates must be prepared for flexible hours regarding travel and game times for various coaching activities.

Remuneration: Salary will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience level of the successful candidate. Successful candidates will be compensated all approved expenses inside of coaching duties. All coaches are hired on a part-time basis with no regular benefits.
