We are a privately owned Canadian based company with over 40 years of steel processing, manufacturing and distribution expertise. Nova Steel has evolved into a diversified value-added manufacturer of steel products using steel coil as its primary input with presence in Canada, United States, and Mexico. Our company is growing, and we are currently looking for dynamic Production Workers to join our team at our Woodstock Ontario location.

Job Description:

  • Follow management direction and production schedule;
  • Set up machinery and ensure that everything is ready for production;
  • Operate and monitor production equipment and signal any issues found;
  • Conduct quality control checks;
  • Adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production;
  • Ensure the machine and workstation is clean;
  • Complete quality and production reports;
  • Work in a team environment to ensure clear communication and work alignment;
  • Follow health and safety rules and regulations.

  • General Mechanical knowledge
  • Fork Lift & Crane training (asset)
  • Basic Computer Knowledge
  • Machine and hand tool safety
  • Good Problem solving skills
  • Safety hazard knowledge
  • Customer service abilities & Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working in a production line (asset)
  • Hard working and self-motivated
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Time management with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Maintain and improve quality standards, looking for constant improvement
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn additional skills and complete other duties as assigned

Working Conditions & Physical Capabilities:

  • Ability to work flexible shifts as well as overtime and some weekends when required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Able to perform the physical requirements of the job, which may include: bending, reaching, twisting, lifting, performing repetitive tasks, walking and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must have good manual dexterity and hand eye coordination to complete the job safely
