Job Overview

Syncraft Construction is seeking a skilled and dependable Taper & Plasterer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience finishing drywall and plaster surfaces to a high standard, working efficiently while maintaining excellent quality and professionalism on job sites.

This role involves residential projects and requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Tape, mud, and finish drywall seams, corners, and fasteners
• Apply plaster and finish surfaces smoothly and evenly
• Sand and prepare surfaces for paint or final finishes
• Repair damaged drywall or plaster as needed
• Read and follow project plans and instructions
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Use tools and materials properly and efficiently
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and clients

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a taper and/or plasterer
• Strong knowledge of drywall finishing and plastering techniques
• Ability to produce smooth, high-quality finishes
• Familiarity with hand and power tools related to the trade
• Physical ability to lift materials, stand for long periods, and work on ladders or scaffolding
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable, punctual, and professional

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

• Experience in residential and/or commercial projects
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
