Position Overview:
The Contract Manager role plays a critical part in our organization, with responsible for managing Finning's mid to largest customer agreements of $100K to $100M in revenue. The Contract Manager is responsible for managing the benefits, potential risks, and other necessary details of each contract Finning is signatory on.

This role allows you to learn all the different areas of the Finning business, provides variety and challenging work and offers opportunity for personal growth and advancement.

Job Description:
Contract Management

  • Manage contracts. Includes: Monitoring contract compliance and performance
  • Reviewing schedule adherence
  • Managing annual contract escalation and pricing adjustment processes (e.g. quarterly foreign exchange and annual price)
  • Communicating and clarifying contract content, responsibilities and commitments, and reporting and communicating on key performance indicators/measurements (KPI's)
  • Ensure that contractual requirements, terms, obligations, and rights are adhered to, by the customer and Finning (Canada), are enforced and upheld by contract owners in a timely manner and that contract deadlines are met

Contract Implementation

  • Monitoring contracts, and moving forward with extension, close-out, or renewal of contracts

Relationship Development/Management

  • Manage core Mining, Construction and Power Systems product contract life cycle costing. Includes: Developing relationships, internal product knowledge, standards, and processes to assist and support contract lifecycle costing, and management
  • Develop and maintain excellent long-term relationships with Cat Global Mining, Finning Branch and Sales operations, internal relationships and Mining customers

Education & Experience:

  • 5 to 7 years of prior contracts management experience in a mining or heavy equipment industry environment
  • Prior experience in equipment management
  • Prior experience in project management
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and tools for data analysis, marketing and design.
  • Proven skills in written and verbal communications, planning, organizing, leadership and interpersonal relationship building.
  • Highly motivated, independent strategic thinker
