Overview

We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling, excellent customer service skills, and a professional approach to beauty and grooming. The Hair Stylist will be responsible for providing high-quality hair services, maintaining sanitation standards, and engaging with clients to ensure their satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling according to client preferences.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering professional recommendations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, workstations, and salon areas in compliance with health regulations.
  • Upsell retail products such as shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and treatments to enhance client experience.
  • Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments.
  • Foster a friendly and professional atmosphere to ensure client comfort and satisfaction.
  • Stay current with industry trends and techniques through ongoing education and training.

Qualifications

  • Valid cosmetology or barber license as required by state regulations.
  • Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio of work preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to listen attentively and provide personalized recommendations.
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a salon environment.
  • Ability to upsell retail products naturally while maintaining focus on client needs.
  • Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus.
