Overview:
The Stewardship Officer ensures donors have a consistently positive experience when interacting with Covenant House. This includes timely stewardship, relevant updates on impact of their support, opportunity to engage and learn more. Feel proud and confident in their commitment and support of Covenant House. This role is pivotal in maintaining positive relationships with donors and enhancing their experience.

We are currently recruiting for 1 Full Time, Contract Stewardship Officer. This is a replacement role within the organization

Responsibilities:

Project/ Process Management (75 %)

  • Oversee the design, printing/ production and distribution of newsletters, Gratitude Report and other stewardship materials to donors.
  • Lead co-ordination of the annual donor and volunteer reception and all other stewardship receptions
  • Lead co-ordination of the donor engagement series, tailoring for a variety of donor segments
  • Manage the set-up and distribution of digital content through email platform
  • Oversee donor recognition activities: naming opportunities, plaques, donor walls, donor listings etc. Keep an inventory of current recognition commitments, timing and renewals
  • Maintain stationary and print inventory for the department
  • Oversee volunteer teams to deliver on a variety of stewardship initiatives
  • Design and build templates for a variety of both print and email content
  • Curate content/ messages across a variety of engagement touchpoints and processes to support the stewardship and cultivation of all donor segments
  • Ensure communication assets/products are error-free, are integrated across teams, to the fullest extent possible, and follow brand guidelines
  • Management of invoices/ payments within set project budgets

Analytics (15%)

  • Donor Journey Analysis: Analyze donor journey automation to maximize effectiveness and efficiency, leading to high donor satisfaction and increased retention.
  • KPI Measurement: Collaborate with Data Services to use database queries and email reports for KPI analysis.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in the donor journey

Other Tasks 10%

  • Stay up to date on the implementation of programs and services, how and why changes are taking place, how these changes impact our donor communications and commitments
  • Stay current on donor landscape, evolving trends and best practices.
  • Performing other tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field. Project Management diploma/certificate an asset
  • 3-5 years previous work experience in a non-profit environment
  • Experience with the Raiser's Edge or similar CRM database
  • Experience with Engaging Networks and Mailchimp an asset
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Experience with Canva, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines
  • Strong technology skills
