You will become a leader and mentor to a dynamic team influencing and empowering others to achieve their professional goals and contribute to a motivating team environment. You will work with a diverse group of privately held dynamic and not-for-profit organizations acting as a Business Advisor to clients. This will give you the opportunity to make a difference by helping clients solve business problems and achieve their business goals. You will be a part of the decision making process, and participate in the development of business strategies. You will become a valued subject matter expert for your clients and be supported by senior practitioners to help achieve your professional development goals. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial culture and having input to key strategic decisions.As a Senior Manager in our Assurance group, you'll help your clients and colleagues thrive by: Leading and executing a wide range of large to mid-sized auditsResearch and business advisory of complex accounting and auditing mattersProviding solutions to our clients for accounting matters and working with them for growth in current business and financial conditionsLeading and executing client engagements under varying reporting frameworks across different industries and sectorsContributing to new business development by understanding all Doane Grant Thornton services and by using your credibility in the fieldActing as a leader in the business unit, service line, and firm by actively contributing to the development and execution of the office business planMaximizing engagement profitability by effectively utilizing engagement resourcesAnalysis and review of corporate and personal income tax returns, NTRs and ReviewsPlanning and leading teams to ensure that client expectations are exceededSupervision and mentoring of an accounting team, including the review of filesLeading through the coaching and performance management process of the practice by providing ongoing feedback, conducting timely performance reviews, and delivering training to develop team membersDoane Grant ThorntonIf you're a bit like us, you're driven to connect with how others are feeling and thinking.
